Thomas stimulates regional developments with trend-setting education and services to the professional field and community.
In the Bachelor of Journalism programme (3Y, 180 ECTS), students are trained to become multifunctional journalists that are well-versed in all aspects of the journalistic trade so that they can be readily employed in media-related companies.
Thanks to the practice enterprise “21bis” students learn tricks of the trade in a real work environment, which clears the path for their professional careers. Via their own media organisation they supply TV chains, radio stations, newspapers and magazines with media products on a continuous basis. Having developed this powerful didactical concept the university college was not only rewarded with a domestic prize but was also given international media attention.
In today’s competitive educational environment their asset is delivering a thorough competence-based cross-media training with a strong focus on research and social service in an international context.
